Seville Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. It was built to showcase the city's wealth and influence as a major trading center. After more than a century of construction, it was completed in 1506 and overtook the Hagia Sophia as the largest cathedral at the time.

The cathedral stands on the site of a former mosque, with parts of the original structure still visible today. La Giralda, the bell tower, was originally a minaret. After the Christian conquest, the tower was repurposed but retained its Moorish design.

You can explore the vast interiors, admire the detailed altarpiece, and climb La Giralda for panoramic views of Seville. An audio guide provides historical insights, helping you understand the cathedral’s rich past at your own pace

Why choose a Seville Cathedral audio guide?

A Seville Cathedral audio guide gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace, unlike guided tours that follow a fixed route. You can pause to admire a chapel, artwork, or architectural detail without feeling rushed.

Frequently asked questions and answers about Seville cathedral audio guided tour

Why should I choose an audio-guided tour of Seville Cathedral?

An audio-guided tour gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace while still getting all the important historical insights. You won’t have to stick to a group schedule, meaning you can linger at your favorite spots, skip sections you find less interesting, and take breaks whenever you want.

How long does the tour take?

This is a self-paced experience, so the duration depends on how long you spend at each section. Most visitors take between 1.5 to 2 hours to explore the cathedral and climb La Giralda.

Can I climb La Giralda with this ticket?

Yes! Your ticket includes access to La Giralda, the cathedral’s iconic bell tower. The climb is unique because it has ramps instead of stairs, making the ascent easier than most towers. From the top, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Seville.

What’s the difference between an audio-guided tour and a guided tour?

With an audio guide, you can move at your own speed, pause when you like, and revisit sections that interest you the most. A guided tour, on the other hand, follows a fixed route with a live guide who provides expert commentary and answers questions.
